Sea Dance Resort: "More incredible than the pictures depict, Should be a 5 start resort!!"

This hotel was AMAZING! After staying in other "4 star" resorts on various islands and arriving to properties that did not come close to our expectations, we weren't expecting anything to write home about. Needless to say we were more than pleasantly surprised with the quality of this resort. The bathrooms are GORGEOUS, facilities are clean, and the pool was luxurious and beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they even brought us complimentary boozy popsicles while we lounged by the pool! If you want to stay somewhere that is far enough from the town that you can experience a hidden oasis, yet easily access the town for dinner/shopping/etc. with a $4 taxi ride, then this is the perfect place for you.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best cuisine"

I have not enough words to thank the most exciting chef in cambodia. Never been disappointex after all these years. Thank you Johannest ! amazing evening !

Reverie Siam: "Paradise personified"

"Only stayed one night as we took a last minute motorbike trip down from Chiang Mai, but it was well worth the journey! Was in Pai in 2014 and visited the bar/restaurant before the hotel had officially opened and was curious to see how it all turned out. Let's just say it lived up to the expectation. Such a special place and amazing staff to top it all off. Regret only staying for a night but so glad I had the chance to visit again and celebrate our engagement here. Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect"

"Villa Song is located in District 3 outSide the city centre. Some say that is a negative, I dont. The city is chaos which is fine for the excitement....but to wind down and enjoy a relaxed peaceful evening this is the place. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with a fantastic saltwater pool to cool down and a riverfront restaurant and bar to enjoy the breeze and view. As for being outside the city, Villa Song provides a free boat shuttle that drops near the main promenade. You get incredible views and bypass the traffic. The times are limited so plan accordingly. The area has the british international school so mainy restaurants, bars, and grocery stores are close by."

Maison Polanka: "A wonderful, elegant upscale boutique retreat property."

"We stayed at Maison Polanka in the Khmer House for eight nights in December, 2016 and all of the previous reviews of this accommodation were spot on- it is a beautiful oasis in Siem Reap! Maison Polanka is located just behind Wat Polanka, in a quiet back street not far from the centre of town (about a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride). The accommodation is within a lovely garden setting within a secure walled compound. It is comprised of five guest rooms, a nice open-air dining area a small massage hut and very welcoming swimming pool. The Khmer House is separate from the other rooms, has a large bedroom and living area, a large balcony with chairs, a spacious bathroom and a large open sitting area below the house- it is well worth the extra expense if you want to enjoy the luxury of a private space. Breakfasts were good, with a choice of Continental or American, including fresh fruit juice, cut fruit and bread basket. We ate several meals in the restaurant ( both lunch and dinner). The food was well presented, tasty and reasonably priced. The staff of Maison Polanka were professional yet charming and went out of their way to assist us in every way. Francis, Cathy and their support staff ensured every detail of our stay was perfect- from organising our tours of Angkor Wat and surrounding temples to making reservations at restaurants and the circus and reconfirming flights. Additionally, every time we returned from a morning or afternoon out, a member of staff was there to greet us with a warm smile and a cool refreshing towel. The extra touch of providing guests with a local mobile phone is also a great idea- the Maison a Polanka numbers are keyed into the phone ( so you can call if you need any assistance) and you can also use it to make local calls (to book restaurants or call a tuk tuk). We had a great time with one tuk yuk driver that the hotel uses ( Mr Lay) who speaks very good English, was very helpful and very keen on explaining almost anything about Cambodian life! All in all we had a wonderful time at Maison Polanka and I can highly recommend it as a special place to stay in Siem Reap. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Manda De Laos: "Fantastic food and location"

We stayed right across the road from this restaurant and so decided to splash out a bit and have a meal here. The restaurant setting was beautiful. We walked in without a reservation and were given a table right by the lily pond - however it is low season at the moment and we went quite early (around 6pm). The food was superb! The starters were definitely the highlight - we had the traditional sausage and the papaya salad with melting pork both of which were delicious!! It's definitely expensive for SE Asia, but we really enjoyed our meal here and would go back. We paid around £45 for two courses and a cocktail each for two people.

Tugu Bali: "Closest hotel to the beach"

This hotel was 5 stars with a 3 star price. Everything was perfect at this hotel. It was close to the beach (a 3 minute walk). Very clean, beautiful rooms. The staff went above and beyond. I had a sun burn and called the front desk to see if they had any aloe. What they did was track down an aloe plant and brought it to my room. It was amazing! I also loved the essential oil they had in our room and the hotel packaged up some for me to take home. They really wanted you to love your stay! The breakfasts were outstanding. I had the healthy yogurt bowls that were out of this world. Can't wait to visit again!

Amata Lanna: "Best place to stay in Chiang Mai"

We loved this hotel!!! We booked it because it looked "Thai" in it's decoration etc. It did not disappoint! It is on a quieter street, but still so close to the night market and good restaurants. The pool is smaller, but located inside the hotel's peaceful courtyard. The staff were so kind and attentive. Honestly, this is such a great hotel. I would book immediately if you can. It is smaller, so I'm guessing as word gets out how wonderful it is, that it will sell out fast. Take my advice and stay here when you are in Chiang Mai!!

Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming boutique hotel"

Great design, excellent food quiet. Lovely spot. I will definitely go back if I am in bkk again. Rooftop pool is added bonus. Helpful and friendly staff. I need to fill in 200 characters. So still writing.

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Superb must stay"

"This resort has all of its priorities straight. It has an Eco/ community based focus and customers are at the heart of everything that is done. We loved every minute of being here as the staff are so considerate and keen to please. The food at the restaurant is fabulous and the rooms are very nicely decorated and restful. The Burmese cat project is fantastic and the shop supports local development projects which sell their high quality products here. We believe this is a really special place to stay and we will remember it for a long time to come. Highly recommended! Stayed April 2016, traveled as a couple"
