"It was my first time in Bali and I stay first 3 days at Mathis Retreat ubud which was very great!!Then I had few more days to the other Mathis called "" La Villa Mathis "" south of Bali. it's Absolutely Amazingly Superb !!! Stunning, Timeless!! All details are Perfect to make your stay very special and Romantic!!! very quiet very private with your own swimming pool. Service is very professional!!! Very safe place which is important. I highly recommend there. if you're interested in walking out your door in to the action & like cookie cutter oder hotels then this is not for you... but if you appreciate quiet, elegant designed properties right on the river then this is the place! Great accommodating staff makes it my go to place whenever I travel to Ho Chi Min City! Stayed here as part of a 2 day Mekong cruise with Les Rives - beautiful oasis that I would highly recommend staying a couple of nights at - if you want to get out into the country and away from ho chi min this is your place! Just arriving at the hotel is a journey itself! Sailing through the lake and watching the fishermen and the village is stunning. The rooms are very spacious, but being in the forest makes you encounter spiders and lizards sometimes. The staff is always helpful and friendly. While in Siem Reap on business I wanted something with more character than the usual hotels, that could also be my home for my business trips. I found Maison Polanka thanks to an article in the Financial Times. As others have said, the rooms are beautiful and the staffs extremely helpful managing to arrange temple tour to fit my business schedule. The nature there is just so peaceful and gives me energy to start my day as well as rejuvenates me in the evening.Once you enter the wooden gate,it is another world. Just spent an amazing weekend here for our wedding anniversary. Lovely and peaceful, with views of Mt Merapi, in the middle of a coffee plantation. Beautiful Dutch colonial buildings and traditional Indonesian houses, fantastic food and wonderful staff. Tour of the coffee plantation was fascinating. Only 1 hr drive from Semarang airport (or 2 hrs from Yogya), so great for a weekend away from Jakarta!Tugu Bali: "Superb Dining Course"
"We visited the Tugu by chance when in search for a different dining experience. Their prefixed course menu is nothing but impressive. It is certain worth the splurge. For me the most valuable was their willingness to accommodate on vegetarian options. It is recommended to book at least a day in advance. If you have a large group, they have rooms available with a rather interesting decor theme of red lights, antique and wooden carvings (picture an imperial room in Shanghai). "Very unique experience staying in this hotel. Quick walk to the surf breaks at Batu Balong, Old Man's and Echo Beach/Pererenan from the lovely beach area on the property. Food in the restaurant is a bit more expensive than other options in the area but well worth the price.Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this place was so impressive that I felt I should. The hospitality here was better than any other 5* hotel I have visited. The people are friendly in a really genuine way, and the hotel just has a charm about it that is incomparable to anywhere else I have stayed. It's not something that can be bought, it just has a story to tell and it's authentic and you kind of feel like you are part of the story of the place while you are there. The hotel arranged a scooter for us and when we got a flat tyre they sent someone to pick up the bike and someone else to make sure we were ok and then a driver to take us where we wanted to go free of charge.. an impressive rescue mission! In comparison to gilli, it was just above and beyond miles better. Quieter, cleaner, nicer and so relaxing. It's not right for party goers, but for a place to unwind and relax.. it was perfect. I would love to go back one day.. can't recommend it enough. Thank you Tugu team for taking such good care of us!!
