Villa Song Saigon: "Great hotel away from the center"
Colonial villa with smart decor. Lovely big swimming pool. Located next to the river. Enjoyed the complimentary 10 minute boat ride to center of Ho Chi Minh. Excellent restaurant. A la carte extensive breakfast menu in a lovely setting. We had two adjoining rooms with a sitting room inbetween overlooking the river. Third floor no lifts so you needed to be able to manage stairs although I think there were rooms on ground floor. We stayed there with my girlfriend and we had such a wonderful time. The hotel is perfectly located in the midle of the old town. It is a beautiful place, with great service, The breakfast was fantastic, while their restaurant is also very good for dinner, if you are ready to spend a bit more than in the city restaurants, would definitely go back thereSlow Villas and Spa: "Just perfect"
"On our 3 weeks roundtrip through Bali and Lombok my girlfriend and me have stayed 3 nights at Slow Private Pool Villas and it was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. To shorten the story: The Slow was even better than expected! Our private villa was surrounded by a huge and nicely planted garden. The pool was just awesome - perfectly clean and bigger than expected. Furniture, tapware and decoration were beautiful and definitely chosen with a huge amount of passion for the details. The staff was always friendly and helpful - no matter if we wanted to go diving, book a snorkeling trip or had some other questions: there's nothing they can't help you with in order to have the perfect time at Gili Air. The breakfast is definitely another highlight. It's getting served at your Villa at your preferred time and tastes delicious! We can't wait to come back next year! A group of four friends on the way from Jaipur to Ranthambore stopped at this magical place. It was like stepping back into time, when life was slower, and more elegant. The hotel is the generations old great-house of a noble family from Jaipur, who also happen to be some of the best polo players in India! The grounds include a polo field, gorgeous pool, and lots of little paths that criss-cross the gardens. The family treats you like a guest and like a member of the family — while we were there we were treated to a beautiful supper on the grass in the late afternoon sun — magical! All the rooms have been renovated and have amazing marble floors and fabulous baths, each with its own unique series of nooks and windows with amazing views of the countryside. The little village that is just outside the gates of the castle is charming too. What a delightful contrast to all the business that is India. A great place to relax and experience life at an Indian family 'home.'Sanak Retreat Bali: "just wonderful"
"probably my favorite place in Bali. Sanak Retreat is the perfect place for family. the place is stunning, with a very nice restaurant which serves an excellent food, the pool is just in front of the restaurant and allows the parents to enjoy a drink while watching the kids having fun. The rooms are really cool and cozy. The massages are great. "This is a delightful boutique hotel away from the crowds of Ho Chi Minh City but with the benefit of regular speed boat shuttles to take you to the centre of town. The rooms are well appointed with luxurious amenities. The service is fantastic from the very helpful staff. The location is out of the centre of town but it's easy to get into the centre of town and the location on the river is very nice. Also, the local neighborhood has a number of restaurants, shops, tailors etc. The hotel concierge has a great list of activities and tours - all the ones we did we were great. I spent 2 nights there with my friend. It is really a relax and peaceful place with the amazing view of jungle and Tatai River. The staffs are excellent, they are very friendly and helpful. We had lunch three times at this wonderful restaurant. It was critiqued in an article by Lawrence Osborne at saver.com, and what a find it was. We loved the tuna tartare with mango, the stuffed ravioli, grilled eggplant with pork, the mango passionfruit sorbet, and a chocolate cake to die for. "We enjoyed a lot our stay here starting with the pool just in front of the Mékong. We had a room with a large terrace and with a great bathroom. The bedoom itself is a bit small to accomodate two kids but that was ok. The owner rented us a car with a driver, that was very convenient. It is so nice to see someone willing to please his customers by any means.Highly recommended to anyone willing to visit the Mekong delta."
