Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach"

Review by: aurascudders | Source: tripadvisor.com
We stayed four nights in a Bhaghavat Gita suite which we would certainly recommend. The suite has its own garden with a large plunge pool and then you're straight onto the wonderful white sand Sire beach. The suite also has a private front garden which includes the semi-outdoor bathroom. Our daughters stayed in a kampong bungalow directly beind our villa which was perfectly adequate and a lot cheaper! You can eat on the beach or in various other places around the site - we chose the roof of the Temple-like spa. Best to book these in advance - there is no where else to eat unless you drive for about 30 mins into Sengigi - we didn't bother as the food was good and varied, with both local and international dishes (mainly Italian). The restaurant is open-sided and overlooks the pool, which was never crowded (don't think all the rooms were full when we were there). We took the dragon boat trip to snorkel at the Gili Isles which was good fun, and we saw a turtle.

Rak Ko Jae Hahoe: "Charming and peaceful"

Review by: underw00d | Source: Trip Advisor
Although we've stayed at Japanese ryokan many times, this was our first experience of a hanok stay, and it didn't disappoint. Same warm welcome (with a cup of green tea and a wedge of apple), same simple aesthetics and same temptingly snug futon-like mattresses on the floor. What was different? The ondol underfloor heating, which was deliciously warm underfoot but if anything a little too hot for sleeping on, with the heat seeping up through the mattresses a little too efficiently. The gloriously-scented sauna experience. And the breakfast, which was a delicious vegetable-infused rice porridge, grilled mackerel, pickles and a bowl of fresh yoghurt with blueberries, nuts and dried fruits. The location is beautiful too, and so peaceful, with nothing more than birdsong and a cock crowing to break the silence. It was a little too cold to be able to enjoy the delightful private seating area on the veranda to the side of the building but in a week or two that will be a lovely place to enjoy an evening drink (bring your own!) or a morning cuppa. Thoroughly recommended

Our last night in Myanmar (and only night in Yangon) we dined at Seeds. Lovely setting, excellent food! European prices, but beyond our wildest expectations.

Bali Jiwa Villa: "Amazing Experience"

Review by: Silvernomads | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Wow !! From the minute you arrive at a little carved wooden door set in the middle of a rice field you realise this is like no where else. We rented the two Villas here so had the whole place to ourselves total privacy, peace and seclusion. The Villas and Lounge/Dining area are beautifully constructed and furnished to blend into the landscape lovely comfy beds, large bathrooms plus outdoor bath and shower. Each area has a collection of books about Indonesia lovely local carvings and traditional furniture make you feel like you are staying in someone's home the attention to detail is fantastic. And now the Staff !! You have your own Staff team who look after your every need cooking and serving beautiful Indonesian. There is a small choice at Breakfast and lunch and a lovely home cooked Indonesian Feast in the Evening. This was an unforgettable Balinese experience - hope to return one day. "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A beautiful place, not to be missed"

Review by: twinter808 | Source: Trip Advisor
I was really looking forward to our stay at 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were so welcoming, the tents immaculate and the food superb. We were lucky in that it was very quiet when we visited, but it was also rather wet! However, the service more than made up for the weather and, as I have already said, the food was excellent.

NEELESHWAR: "Stunning"

"We were quite surprised to one minute being surrounded by urban India then suddenly in this idyllic small resort type hotel on the Coast of the Arabian Sea. Fabulous clean beach, perfect facilities, Yoga Room, Spa, 2 restaurants our favourite being right in the beach and large infinity pool. The accommodation is self contained little cottages. Just perfect. "

Villa Song Saigon: "Great stay– lived up to the hype"

Review by: Maggie Y | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were happy to leave our original hotel in district one and book a last minute two nights at Villa Song. The area has a few great spots for eating and shopping (Dolphy for coffee and Banh Mi 362). It's about a 20 minute walk into the heart of things but we really enjoyed the scenery and slower place of things. It was a really nice contrast from district one and the tourist zone. The hotel is beautiful, on a river, and the boat ride is a great alternative to viewing the rapidly expanding city of Saigon. The cab ride back home later at night was $7-8. Easy! We'd head in on the 11:30 AM boat, do touristy stuff, take a later boat back to the hotel, and then go back out later on the 6 pm boat and cab back to the hotel later. It was not too inconvenient and it was very worth it to not feel the stress of getting run over by a motorbike for a solid few hours. Also, the pool! So much more serene, private and clean than the rooftop pools in HCMC. Also, there are only 23 rooms in the hotel, so you're not fighting for pool space. The service was fantastic, as was the food. Vietnamese breakfast options were the bomb. We loved the braised beef and egg noodle soup and the chicken congee. Great fresh squeezed OJ. Stay here!"

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Luxury eco resort"

Review by: boundlesstrekker | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed at this lodge and loved it. The whole set up is fantastic from the staff, the food and the views. I truly enjoyed the kind hospitality of the owner. He is a very warm host. The food is organic and out of this world. Will definitely return.

Lovely colonial property with modern facilities. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Interesting rooms and common areas with beautiful antiques. Nice pool and garden, which makes this a perfect oasis to relax. Excellent food, too.
