Mathis Retreatco: "Your success howerver you want it: from very quite to exploratory"

Review by: Pierre B | Source: Trip Advisor
"It is our second stay at the Mathis retreat (Kenanga last year) and the manageress; Karne, has maintained a charming atmosphere with excellent food, very kind staff and excellent service. While stilll close to Ubud, the hotel surrounding is peaceful with rice fields mixing lush greens with mirror images of the sky. The swimming pool is large enough to play or exercise. The path next to the hotel is a lovely way to walk down to Ubud across the rice fields, the frogs, the birds, and the hard working farmers. from the many attractive excursions, we selected those that would drive us closest to the balinese people and their natural landscape. The Ayung river trekking was exotic enough, adjusted to our desires and capabilities on the spot; full of anecdotical explanations on the flora, fauna and traditions, with a lunch stop at a traditional village with breathtaking Banian Trees (sacred trees next to temples) where we had a friendly conversation with a 3 generations family. Our daughter; a keen photographer; went for the sun rise on the rice fields for a full 360 degrees sensation, and reaching those remote places as a motorbike passenger was an extra bonus. And we are still so far from having exploited all the possibilities, that you may be sure to find us there next year."

The Cabochon Hotel: "Had a wonderful stay"

Review by: sundari8 | Source: Trip Advisor
Rooms were cozy and sophisticated. All the staff were so kind and food was good. I liked small details such as green, the view from window, teacups, and aroma. I had a wonderful stay here. I would like to come back to this hotel when I visit Bangkok again.

Maduzi Hotel: "Romantic charm and home comforts in a busy city"

Review by: n810el | Source: Trip Advisor
Booked through SLH and got a pleasant surprise of a free upgrade and late check out. Excellent couples retreat with all the luxuries of a modern hotel yet cozy enough to feel at home. Service quality is excellent. Hotel is near enough to a BTS yet once in the compound you're cut-off from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Best lodging ever"

Review by: Sonia F | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Inle Heritage Stilt Houses lie in picturesque Innpawkhon, an hour away from Nyaung Shwe. Accessible only by boat, the friendly staff welcome you with big smiles and open arms. Such hospitality is not a coincidence. Since 2014, Inle Heritage is also a successful vocational center providing free training to eligible youth from the region and beyond. A registered NGO, it currently has 46 students aged 17 to 24 years old, living and learning on site for 10 months. But that's not all. Inle Heritage Stilt Houses also runs an exciting cat breeding project aimed at reintroducing the long lost Burmese cat to the country. Guests can visit the happy purrers at the 'cat village', an area adjacent to the IHH aquarium where endangered and threatened species of local fish and turtles were saved from over-fishing and decreasing water quality. The Stilt Houses bungalows have a fairy tale like quality, offering comfort, beauty and serenity to those looking for the ideal escape from the city. Kitchen staff will treat you to a wide range of breakfast options from traditional Shan noodles to Burmese pancakes and continental delicacies. As a provider of education, community support and nature preservation projects, the Inle Heritage Hotel is difficult to fault. And with plans to extend from 6 bungalows to 10, IHH will remain a perfect safe haven for travelers for years to come. Book yourself in soon before this well kept secret is no longer!"

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional Service and a beautiful setting."

Review by: kay01nz | Source: Trip Advisor
"This meets all the expectations mentioned in other reviews and is an exceptional training facility. Rooms spotless, restaurant deserves all the praise as do the staff. The downside for some who wish to relax and rest rather than be out and about all the time can be the noise of the boats going past during daylight hours as the engines can be noisy, and that to get anywhere you must take a boat as it is on an island not linked to the shore. While this was a not problem for me... it could be for others who travel differently. It is also a 1 hour by car, plus 1 by boat journey from Heho airport so early flights can be awkward. In saying the above.... I would still return for another holiday to the same hotel and recommend it to friends."

Villa Song Saigon: "What makes a good hotel great?"

Review by: David B | Source: tripadvisor.com
What makes a great hotel? Is it location, style, luxury, food quality, service, amenities, exclusivity, ambiance? Villa Song has all of this and much more. The indefinable thing that makes paying customers feel like honored guests - friends even. This is like a Mini Singapore Raffles located on the Saigon River half an hour from HCM airport. It's hard not to gush about this place and harder to find fault. I dare you to try. If you go there you will be looked after by GM Yega, his wonderful staff including the charming Freddie who seems to be able to do everything. You might be served breakfast by Miss Hua and her colleges, have a cocktail concocted for you especially by the fantastic bar manager, take a ride on the hotel launch, sit by the fabulous pool,,,,,,You will certainly be fed by master Chef Kevin. F&B director and chef from Luxembourg. The quality of food pumped out of his kitchen will delight you. I could go on and on but I am busy planning my next (much longer) stay in this very special hotel. Check out this unique and special little gem for yourself....but leave room for me.

MesaStila: "Lovely resort set amidst Central Java Highlands"

Review by: leesh26 | Source: Trip Advisor
This exclusive resort sits on a 22ha site with its own coffee plantation, organic farm and two dozen unique villas of various styles sourced from all over Central Java and Yogjakarta. Nicely tended gardens and walking path complement the daily activities to occupy guests for two or more days.

Satri House: "Attention to Detail"

Review by: wellpoot | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Satri House setting is welcoming, elegant, and most comfortable. The quality of all offerings (lovely grounds and statuary, water features, open-air restaurant, and rooms) is evident at first glance. The staff present a sincere attitude of kindness and concern to guests and strive to fulfill any possible requests. Be sure to ask to use the free bikes for a special view of Luang Prabang. Room Tip: We made no requests for a special room and were quite pleased with the hotel's choice for us."

Locavore: "good food and great service"

Review by: kalena_jehan09 | Source: Trip Advisor
We had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food was flawless, but we were truly impressed with the ease, welcoming, and fluidity of the staff. They thought of everything. From greeting us as we walked in. It is clear that they are as passionate about the guests' experience as much as the food they're creating. Do yourself a favour and go visit. Enjoy the grandeur, you will not be disappointed.
