The Cabochon Hotel: "Perfect weekend retreat"

Review by: harikumarp2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
What a great hotel! Tucked away at the end of the long stretch of busy Sukhumvit is this gem of a hotel. Small and charming. Friendly, attentive and personable staff. Has a great lounge for cocktails and a rooftop pool. Just 13 rooms!

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A unique experience, best service you can find"

Review by: Margauxbaleriaux | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have traveled a lot around the world in both high luxury hotels and small guesthouses, but we must admit that I have rarely had such a nice experience as the one we got at Thahara Inle Heritage. To us, this hotel has it all : the luxury bungalows with quiet private terrace right in the middle of Inle lake (that you would expect to find in a a 5* hotel) and the adorable welcoming service that you can only find in small intimate guesthouses. Plus, the food is divine (and the breakfast, Oh My !) and very much affordable for the location, so what more can we ask for ? Well, you could wish that your money goes to a good cause, and it does. Thahara Inle Heritage is part of the not-for-profit training center that prepare local young people for careers in restaurants and hotels. That explains the amazing and welcoming service ! It also had its own amazing garden full of delicious vegetables, which explains the amazing local cuisine of their restaurant, and works towards full sustainability, so you are assured to contribute to a green stay. You can also take part in one of their cooking class if you have time, surely the best one you can find in the country ! Or you can just wander around the Thahara, pay a visit to their Burmese cat center or check out their local Aquarium. Or you can hop on a boat and head to Nampan market, 5 minutes away, or leave for a memorable boat drive to the Sankar, on the very southern shores of the lake. Endless possibilities, total freedom, breathtaking views. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Myanmar. PS: as for the previous comment, fear nothing if you are a light sleeper, Thahara provides you with earplugs in your room, though we did not need them. And if you are afraid to be cold at night on the lake, you will be happily surprised to find hot water bottles in your bed to warm you up when you come back to your bungalow at night. Brilliant. Stayed January 2016"

"I can just agree with other reviewers, this place is lovely ....a quiet haven after hours in the city of HCMC with noise, traffic, and stress. The staff very helpful sorting out some issues with my airline for the returnflight. I have already reserved my next stay at Villa Song. See you in november.Thank you. "

Arumdalu: "Arumdalu Resort Belitong, Great and Awesome Place!!!!"

Review by: Bwahyudi | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Arumdalu Resort was opened on May 2014, I would say a doubt at first time during on the way to the Resort taking by the Hotel driver, when I ask the Driver how good the Resort is, such as a food, area etc etc, he always said Lumayan ( Not too bad ) :), keeping me curious whether he doesnt even know the place or something that would say... you see the facts..... When I get there, Wow... unbelieve, its a completely remote area facing the amazing white sand and blue blue clean beach!!!! They have huge Villa and great pool exactly infront of the Villa. Beside the great Service from the staffs, Beautiful and clean Resort..(...) We really had Great time there and highly recommended, I love to come back!!!"

Manukan Island Resort: "Charming villas with great staff"

Review by: Analogue4 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for one night in a beachside villa. Staff encountered were all very friendly and professional. Upon check in we were shown to our room, given a welcome tea and a friendly introduction to the room and facilities on the island. The room itself was so charming - spacious, well laid out, clean and very comfortable all round with beach towels and thongs provided and a cute little balcony overlooking the beach, it suited the environment perfectly and you really couldn't ask for anything more. We were warned that they switch generators several times a day and as such we may experience power disruptions but this was very minimal. The outside breakfast buffet was okay, we did notice insects crawling over some of the breads. Dinner, although the menu was somewhat limited, was really lovely with tables and fairy lights set up next to the beach complete with three musicians performing songs for every table - very romantic. Most of the many tourists on day trip leave the island by 4pm and after this you can really appreciate and enjoy the environment you are in as during the day it is not as pleasant, crowded and noisy. The walk to Sunset Point was a highlight though the pagoda there doesn't offer the best view - continue down the small path to the rocks, very serene. We had an earlyish flight to catch on the day of our departure and the staff were happy to ensure an early boat back to KK was made available to us. We were offered a friendly farewell and as we boarded our boat and were about to depart, a staff member ran out to return a power cable we had accidentally left behind in our room which was much appreciated. If you are planning on visiting Manukan Island we would recommend staying at this resort - very enjoyable and well managed and you are able to experience the island without the daily crowds."

The Samar: "Beautiful relaxing hotel near Ankor Wat"

Review by: Gary W | Source: tripadvisor.com
"we have just returned from Cambodia 29 April. Stayed at the Samar Villas for 8nights We were upgraded to our own villa (amazing) as it was my husbands birthday whilst there. The hotel is very close to Ankor Wat so wonderful if your up early. It is very peaceful and calm. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times which I would recommend, Bertrand the owner of the hotel gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations as well. All of the staff were so warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It's about a 8-10 min tuk tuk ride into siem reap town, we had the same tuk tuk driver whilst there who was just charming. The hotel arrant a English speaking guide for us who was wonderful he knew the answer to every question we asked him (many!!) I had a massage whilst there wish was truly relaxing. If you are visiting Siem Reap this is the place to stay, just out of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap, but close enough to get out and about."

Inle Princess Resort: "Perfekt"

Review by: digubra | Source: Trip Advisor

Cocktails are pretty good to boot"

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Traveling back in time"

Review by: CarolienBAC | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very beautiful traditional Hanok guesthouse. Staying here really is an unforgettable experience. Especially at night when the place is beautifully lit, it almost seems like a fairy tail. Sleeping on the 'ondol' heated floor with Korean-style bedding may not be for everyone (I personally had some trouble sleeping on the floor), but this sure is an experience not to be missed when in Seoul. I booked the Patio room which had a separate bathroom with a wooden tub. You can choose between Korean style breakfast or continental. Of course I went for the Korean style breakfast, which was excellent. Breakfast is brought to your room so you can enjoy it in the privacy of your own room. The owner of RakKoJae is very friendly and helpful. Moreover RakKoJae is situated right in the middle of the Bukchon Hanok Village and just a small walk away from both the Gyeongbok Palace and the Changdeokgung Palace. Staying at RakKoJae is rather expensive though."

Sanak Retreat Bali: "The best of Bali Paradise"

Review by: Lreveruzzi | Source: Trip Advisor
What a treat! We feel so lucky that we stumbled upon the Sanak and booked a villa. Set in the midst of rice paddies that stretch as far as the eye can see lies this unassuming beautiful retreat. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which allowed us to have an amazing view of the sunrise AND sunset. The villa was calming, beautifully designed and beyond comfortable. The best bed of our 2 week trip! The restaurant had amazing food, great prices and a staff that was attentive and super friendly. The activities offered were a great value and very diverse from traditional Bali to tourist activities. We could not want for more. Lina, the ground manager, was amazing and super helpful with anything you needed. The best thing to do was literally sitting by the pool with fresh juice and a book hearing the sounds of nature and chanting in the far off distance. The retreat truly was just that, a retreat. The pricing was more than fair for the value you received and the location is amazing, remote yet easy to get to from Ubud (about 1.5 hour drive). We can not say enough about this place, it is a GREAT place to spend some time in Bali. The only negative was that we wish we stayed longer!!
