Inle Princess Resort: "Heavenly Spot"
This is a spectacular property. From the moment you approach this resort by boat, you feel tranquil and welcomed! To protect the peaceful nature of the resort, it is required that the long boats shut off their motors. You are paddled to the reception dock by a local paddling with his legs. The property is well laid out, with cabins spread out along the property. Some of them are lake view, others are pond view. The cabins are comfortable, with teak woodwork everywhere. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, with an outdoor (enclosed) shower to boot. The service is attentive. Overall, this is a relaxing, enjoyable property that strives to fit in with the local culture. The only downside was spooty internet access, but this is a minor detail which is easily overlooked. Highly recommended.Le Calao: "Superb."
We can’t praise this restaurant enough. It has only recently opened and there are a few minor details that need sorting (like no bread and butter plates for the delicious and generous servings of complimentary home made rolls) but the main thing is the food, and that is exquisite. The ambiance puts you immediately in a good mood and the staff are attentive without being over the top. The Lao menu is extensive and is quite difficult to trawl through unless you have a good knowledge of the dishes and how big or small they are. I had pork stew not realising it was more of a soup. My mistake, but delicious just the same. Two nights later we went again and stuck to the Western menu. My wife had a repeat of the French Onion Soup followed by the Mushroom Ravioli. I had the Pumpkin Soup and Roast Pork Knuckle. All dishes were beyond compare and a testament to the Chef’s expertise. A delicious red and white house wine each topped off a beautiful night and at a surprisingly reasonable price of US$70. Remember, the Ravioli is to die for.
The staff and service is amazing. The look and feel of the resort is unique and very beautiful. They have two swimming pools and the bigger one has a beautiful view and is big enough. The rooms are decorated very well and fresh flowers are placed in the rooms. For a peaceful getaway, I would surely return here.Tugu Bali: "Romantic 10 year anniversary celebration"
"This was the perfect place to have a night away from our 5 year old to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! We felt like we were a million miles away in the serene setting provided by the hotel. This is a must for any trip to Bali! The cultural night on Thursday adds such a special touch to our evening! "Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "Kreativ, authentische gehobene Küche"
"Sehr köstliche, kreative und authentische gehobene Küche. Die Atmosphäre ist trotzdem familiär und ungezwungen. Die verwendeten Zutaten ideal aneinander abgestimmt. Es war unheimlich köstlich. Gerne wieder!"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The perfect break!"
Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge provided the perfect break from the rush, noise and dust in city life in Nepal. From the moment you arrive the staff are attentive and provide helpful information in a non intrusive way. The rooms, each a cottage on its own, are spacious, comfortable and every need is catered for. Early morning views of the mountains are spectacular and visible from each of the rooms. The food is so good at each meal, individual needs having been taken into account, it is worth losing a bit of weight before staying there. A place to be returned to.Manukan Island Resort: "Charming villas with great staff"
"We stayed for one night in a beachside villa. Staff encountered were all very friendly and professional. Upon check in we were shown to our room, given a welcome tea and a friendly introduction to the room and facilities on the island. The room itself was so charming - spacious, well laid out, clean and very comfortable all round with beach towels and thongs provided and a cute little balcony overlooking the beach, it suited the environment perfectly and you really couldn't ask for anything more. We were warned that they switch generators several times a day and as such we may experience power disruptions but this was very minimal. The outside breakfast buffet was okay, we did notice insects crawling over some of the breads. Dinner, although the menu was somewhat limited, was really lovely with tables and fairy lights set up next to the beach complete with three musicians performing songs for every table - very romantic. Most of the many tourists on day trip leave the island by 4pm and after this you can really appreciate and enjoy the environment you are in as during the day it is not as pleasant, crowded and noisy. The walk to Sunset Point was a highlight though the pagoda there doesn't offer the best view - continue down the small path to the rocks, very serene. We had an earlyish flight to catch on the day of our departure and the staff were happy to ensure an early boat back to KK was made available to us. We were offered a friendly farewell and as we boarded our boat and were about to depart, a staff member ran out to return a power cable we had accidentally left behind in our room which was much appreciated. If you are planning on visiting Manukan Island we would recommend staying at this resort - very enjoyable and well managed and you are able to experience the island without the daily crowds."Slow Villas and Spa: "Paradise within paradise!"
"My 2-night stay at Slow Villas has been EXCEPTIONAL. I was looking to unwind and relax in Gili Air and I couldn't think of a better place to do just that. First of all, I love that it's eco-friendly! From bio-septic tanks to reusable water bottles, they are clear advocates of our environment. The Villas itself is very well-maintained. They provide just the right amount of of comfort and luxury. Every concept of the villas is centered around the guests comfort. The bed is huge and I love that it faces the pool-- perfect for lazy mornings. Our one-bedroom villa is HUGE, which even includes a garden. Although I'm not the type to sunbathe, it was nice to have it to ourselves. The pool is definitely amazing. It's not really a private villa without your private pool, is it. The service is great-- refillable water, fruits in your villa, breakfast at your own privacy, wifi, and a cable tv. They even add a little touch by providing a USB with movies just incase the cable is down. Simply amazing. Everything is top notch! Location wise, it's definitely on the isolated corner of the island, but it's perfect for couples like us who were were looking for pure tranquility. They truly lived up to their name. The instant I entered Slow, it was as if time froze and the rest of the world drifted away! Thank you Slow for a phenomenal experience!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A night to remember <3 <3 <3"
"I stayed at 4 rivers three weeks ago but I can still remember how amazing the place is. It was a long drive but when you reached the 4th bridge which the reception is located you will be amazed by the surroundings . I'm typically not a nature lover but when the boat started to pass by the river surrounded by mountains it took my breath away :D When I arrived at the resort the staff and crew gave me a very warm welcome . The resort facilities are outstanding .You’ll get the chance to use the kayak and fishing rod for free. also love the library which has a good collection of books and even board games for kids and kids at heart . The manager (Adonis) is so approachable and very kind not only to the guest but also to his staff. 4 RIVERS is the PERFECT PLACE to unwind and be with nature :D Looking forward on coming back there sooonnnnnnn!!! :D"
