Locavore: "A dinner like a performance"

Review by: NorbertWolfgang | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's hard to describe the menu and all it's different structures and tastes but see it is an evening out at a theater....the table looked simple and almost empty at start but soon a symphony emerges and takes you off to different and wonderful places, until a final apotheose of different kinds of sweetness ....and then the table is empty again. So far the poetry description... All of the dishes are ""urgent"" and none are ""fillers"" but of course we had our favorites. From the all very different amuses the tomato dish was sublime in its purity and the sweet, sour and salty perfect in balance. The catfish also combined great flavors and structures. The tongue with carrot and harmonious cocktail pairing was a great finish of the savory dishes, were after the sweet dishes gentle and a feast for the eye. Go for the 7 courses with cocktail pairing, most pairings are great, all cocktails are delicious but some a bit overpowering , so be careful, some you drink better AFTER you had the dish. This will be most likely a meal you never forget...a big thx to the whole team"

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing safari"

Review by: Stephanie R | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at Noel's Safari for two nights in a family tent (2 adults and 2 kids) and had a great time. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and were absolute experts when it came to the animals and their habitat. We saw so many amazing wild animals and learned so many things about them. Back at the camp, the food was absolutely phenomenal - so delicious and an amazing array of dishes. We all had a fantastic time and would recommend this to any animal lover!!!

Maison Polanka: "Eden"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
"Do not miss ! The place is intimate, not only in the romantic meaning but actually great for families and friends - only a few rooms, so the atmosphere is always cosy and welcoming. Fantastic garden with a beautiful pool, the rooms are arty with a unique touch quite far away from typical 5 stars hotels. But the pearl of the place is just the people and the staff, the best service we had ever, after many years traveling all across Asia. Always of good advice and great attentiveness - smiling and cheerful!! We've fallen under the charm of the place and dream to come back !"

THE SAMAR: "The Samar Villa & Spa Resort"

Review by: vwg0lf | Source: Trip Advisor
I highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel in Siem Reap. The staff were welcoming, efficient and professional. We received good advice with regard to visiting the historic sites from the General Manager Bertrand and arrangements were put in place to make it very easy for us to make the most of our time there yet we were still able to fully enjoy our stay. Situated near to Angkor Wat and the center of town yet peaceful and quiet within the bounds of the hotel. A clean and pleasant swimming pool. We were served a very generous breakfast. All the meals we ate at the Hotel were well presented and very tasty with dishes on the menu to suit all palates.

The Tiger’s Eye: "Better with every visit!"

Review by: BenPenh | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tigers Eye - it's been open now for a while, I wanted to hold off on my review as the first visit I made over a year ago was phenomenal but I wanted to be sure that the high standards would be kept. The chef here, Tim, has such a solid reputation for his creativity and constantly evolving menu which is one of the best elements of The Tigers Eye... you can never exhaust the menu as there is always something new to try! The service is great, other restaurants in town on this level can be very sterile and too formal for my taste but at The Tigers Eye they have created the perfect blend of professional & friendly, I'm a people watcher & have observed the staff operate, they have the experience to gauge a table and can tell the difference between a formal / business meeting & a more relaxed jovial meal... for me that part of The Tigers Eye experience is priceless! The decor is warm & welcoming & the layout gives the option for large groups to sit together. In a nutshell - if you're in Phnom Penh for a short time make sure to drop in, if you're here for a longer period - go and judge for yourself, I'm sure it'll become one of your 'go-to' places to dine!"

muang la: "A piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere!"

Review by: Vicky U | Source: tripadvison.com
"After a rough first week of travelling and very cold weather, we were thrilled to spend a couple of nights here. Gorgeous room, with HEATERS and hot water bottles, tastefully decorated, lovely bathrooms, with home grown bathsalts. The setting is delightful, on the river, and the infinity pool on its own island was a good place to unwind with a book when the sun comes out. All the little hidey holes have access to drinks and snacks and service is never far away. The spa itself, with the two huge hot spring-fed pools are elevated so you have a view of the surrounding countryside and are a panacea for weary limbs, and the massage sets you up for the next part of the journey! The five course dinner is light and carefully crafted, full of flavour, and the cocktails inventive and yummy. Little braziers kept us warm while we ate, and a large boma-type fireplace was comforting for an aperitif. We had a long walk on our free day round the local Khamu village, and enjoyed seeing village life at a slow pace, the pace it is lived. Excursions can be arranged to nearby hill tribes, but we didn't know about that. Even though the local staff dont speak much English it is good to see the management trying to give back other local community by providing jobs and an enhanced local spa for the village. I can't rate this place highly enough "

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Most memorable experience"

Review by: sdew360 | Source: Trip Advisor
From the moment we arrived here, we knew we'd be experiencing something very special. We felt privileged to be staying in such a sensitively preserved example of 19th century local architecture and absorbed as much as we could of the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful decor. We felt warmly welcomed by staff throughout our stay and they were so helpful in communicating with us and returning items we’d left behind in our haste to catch a flight. Personal touches to our rooms were a delight and looking back at our trip to Malaysia this summer, we all agreed our stay in Georgetown – and indeed the Cheong Fatt Tze (Blue) Mansion – was the highlight to our holiday.

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Camping “Glamping” – WOW!"

Review by: KCH2000 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at Glamping Sandat for three nights which was a birthday surprise from my wife! It was one of the highlights of our Bali trip. It was so peaceful. We hired a moped to get into Ubud centre because the location is difficult to reach by car - you literally go through paddy fields to get there, which adds to it's charm. We had the most blessed stays. The 'tents' are beautifully designed. It's so relaxing to fall asleep to the sounds of local nature. The communal dining table area is lovely. Food is good. I think it will be hard to beat this place. You have to try it! Especially as you have your own private infinite pool!"

Inle Princess Resort: "Loved it"

Review by: mark121 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I loved this hotel. Our chalets were huge and extremely comfortable, and I much appreciated the free minibar containing soft drinks. There were all the amenities you would expect, and the turn down service and cleaning of the rooms was excellent. The view across the lake was also splendid. We made good use of the spa, which has to have the most enormous treatment rooms anywhere. And the treatments were first class. The only thing that I would criticise are the steps into the bathroom and out to the outdoor shower from the room; the steps are all the same colour and in dim lighting merge into one another, with the result that we both tripped down them. A couple of white outlines on the steps would help enormously. There was a very nice bar area, which was extremely efficient and well-run. And the food in the restaurant was also good."

Satri House: "Great hotel"

Review by: davideC3942WP | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed here for a first time visit to Laos. The arrival is a little underwhelming as the hotel has no frontage to speak of, just an opening with a road down to a doorway very tastefully done. Inside is a revelation- a lovely relaxed layout with 2 pools, bar and restaurant. The room was spacious with 4 poster bed, bathroom, separate toilet and large balcony. The room was clean had all facilities including fruit basket and toiletries in glass bottles. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Breakfast east cooked to order with fresh juice, omelettes, croissants etc. Anything asked for was brought without fuss. We did try the restaurant which was very good in the evening. Slight criticisms - there was a cocktail menu at the bar but the barman didn’t really know how to make them. It is about 1 km from the centre so a bit of a walk to get into Luang Prabang town."
