Tugu Bali: "Like a honey moon again"
"This was our second time in Tugu and we were again mesmerized by the magic of the place and charm of the staff. With all the changes that is happening in Bali - we were here 4 years ago, Tugu is like a bubble of culture, peace and happiness. The rooms are simply palatial - don't remember seeing hotel rooms as large and majestic as these. They are decorated with astonishing pieces of Indonesian art and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave the room. The menu of Indonesian food is simply amazing, a gourmet journey around Indonesia. If you feel like a western fare there are probably cheaper options in the area. I strongly recommend the spa and if you can, try Ms. Kadek, she is amazing! Above all the staff is what really makes the difference. It was great to see that many of them are still working there and they remembered my name after 4 years. Seeing the sunrise over the Mekong was an unforgettable experience. The food on board the boat is superb and we enjoyed the visit to local villages and seeing the floating market. Our guide, Annie, was excellent too.Sanak Retreat Bali: "Heaven!"

"This was our 4th visit to Sea Dance in two years , living close by makes this our favourite choice for a short break. Poy and his team never cease to amaze us , from the moment we arrive we feel like we are home again. This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlightReverie Siam: "Top hotel"
Fabulous rooms. Fabulous staff. Great food. Fun town. We stayed 4 nights and couldn't believe our luck. Sumptuous breakfasts fantastic shuttle to town anytime. Nice swimming pool. The Maison Wat Kor is a unique resort just outside Battambang. Right in a local village with chickens and cows just outside the gate. Was wondering where to eat in Bali, i know there are so many sorts of restaurants everywhere and some a just a letdown....so wife recommended why don't we try Cuca, since some of her friends said good things about it. Since we are staying in Uluwatu, so it was not that far for us to get over there. We arrived slightly over 2pm and the restaurant was empty, i asked my wife are you sure this place is good? We were greeted and showed to our table...each table is separated by a curtain for privacy, so we decided to choose the table closest to the full view of the kitchen. Everyone was busy, apparently there is a close event that night. So we were the only guest. Our waitress was this pleasant looking girl that was very attentive and took time to explain the menu. We decided to try the tasting menu, i think was about 7 sharing courses. I won't go through the menu, you have to come and try it out for yourself...my only verdict is "One of the few favourite restaurant in Bali for us"
