Chakrabongse: "Stay in a prince’s palace"

Review by: 214gregn | Source: tripadvisor.com
This was built in the 19th century by a Thai prince. It's on a busy street and right next to the river. Once you get behind the gates, it's your own private palace. Pool, garden, decks overlooking the river. I think there are only about 9 rooms. It's pricey, but worth it. Our dinner was about a 7-course meal (prix-fixe), each one a delicacy. Took off my shoes at the gate and wandered around the rooms and gardens for all three days we were there.

The Village House: "Amazing retreat"

Review by: sarahhanson43 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at the Village House on 9th July for 3 nights. What can I say about this place, everything was great. The layout and decor is first grade and has the real feel of a relaxing yoga retreat. If you want 2 or 3 days simply to unwind and kick back in a rural setting with the soothing sounds of running water lapping over the pool then this is the place for you. We both fell asleep within minutes of arriving due to the relaxing ambience of the place. The food was excellent. Every one of our meals was delicious. The staff were very attentive and helpful in booking excursions or transport. There are a few good places to visit nearby. The Wetlands national park and Sarawak Cultural Village are on the doorstep and both well worth a visit. One thing to note though is that the hotel stands very much on its own without any restaurants or shops nearby (not that it matters with the good food on offer) so this is definitely a short stay place to recharge the batteries."

Tugu Lombok: "AN AMAZING BEAUTIFUL FANTASY OF AN HOTEL!"

Review by: 49karenl | Source: Trip Advisor
"There is no other words to describe The Tugu other than magical, fantasy and beautiful. This is without doubt the most unusual hotel I have ever stayed at and i've been in the industry since 1978 so I have been to a LOT of hotels! The Tugu is one of the most sublime, comfortable, luxurious but not pretentious hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything is done with the guests comfort and pleasure in mind. We stayed in the most wonderful suite (room 103) which is situated facing out onto the beach but I shan't give more details of this wonderful room as I do not want to spoil others pleasure of surprise when they arrive at these rooms to stay in the future. All I would say is the supplement is worth every penny. The bed is the MOST COMFORTABLE of any hotel anywhere! Indeed it was the main subject of conversation throughout the hotel between guests - they literally hug and love you! Breakfast is outstanding - choose anything and as much as you require from the breakfast menu at anytime of the day! Wonderful and relaxing with many many special homemade and original items to enjoy. Lunch and Dinner is excellent and can be enjoyed ANYWHERE within the hotel grounds without any of the ridiculous supplements that so many hotels charge for this. The grounds and buildings - words cannot do justice you will just have to come and see the wonder of an hotel for yourself. The gardens are stunning, the spa a miniture in the style of Borobodur that's without the two restaurant buildings. This hotel in case you had not guessed is very very special....................... But only to those who seek peace, tranquility and comfort. If nightlife and constant daytime noise and activities are your thing this won't be! In concludsion, Hanny the Manager and her entire team of staff have actually got EVERYTHING right, which is so rare. Highly commended for a really enjoyable stay."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Heavenly Honeymoon in undiscovered Cambodia"

Review by: gem_yo | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in January 2016. We were supposed to stay for 3 but we loved 4 Rivers so much we managed to secure another night - thanks to the wonderful Luz & Adonis. To get to 4 Rivers you travel down the river Tatai - a magical, unspoilt river in a remote and protected part of Cambodia. It is absolutely worth the drive from Phnom Penh! The surroundings are magnificent. 4 Rivers is the perfect destination for couples - we arrived and immediately jumped off our private jetty into the beautiful fresh water river. What's more there's no phone signal or wifi so you properly switch off and today there is no greater holiday gift than time away from your smartphone. Did I mention Luz and Adonis and all of the staff were incredible? They looked after us so well and the food was excellent and the wine selection just right. We loved the firefly trip, the sunset cruise and the waterfall and canoeing excursion. I can't wait to return and I have recommended 4 Rivers to all of our friends and family. All the best - Gemma & Jack xxx"

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Luxury Hideaway next to rice paddies & jungle"

Review by: AirmileAlex | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed in one of the villas which shares a pool with 3 others. The accommodation was gorgeous - bedroom above plus semi open air bathroom and day bed area downstairs and beautiful decor, art & landscaping throughout the property. The boutique nature of the venue meant that the restaurant & lounge were calm but service and food still excellent. Given that this is nestled into the jungle, frogs & other wildlife were pretty noisy through the night but that added to the charm for us. We also enjoyed a private yoga class with a super teacher in the yoga pavilion early morning.

satri house: "A jewel"

Lovely colonial property with modern facilities. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Interesting rooms and common areas with beautiful antiques. Nice pool and garden, which makes this a perfect oasis to relax. Excellent food, too.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Slice of Paradise"

Review by: DMFHenshaw | Source: Trip Advisor
"How I wished we had another night! This is a remarkable experience in the middle of the jungle. Don't be put off by the thought of a tent, this is luxury rather than camping. You can swim from your deck and borrow kayaks and fishing rods, or simply relax in the sunshine. We went on the sunset trip which was beautiful. The fireflies were an unexpected bonus. We also took the trip to Tatai Waterfall. That was great fun and we kayaked halfway back which was so peaceful. They provide lunch and towels. Just take sunscreen and a swimming costume or you could jump in like the locals fully clothed! On our second evening we drank cocktails on the main deck and watched the sun go down before dinner. The food is good- delicious homemade pineapple jam at breakfast. We also enjoyed the waffles which were more like American pancakes with fruit and ice cream. The portion was huge so one to share was plenty. Thank you to the staff for looking after us so well. This is really a unique experience you don't want to miss. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Amata Lanna: "A treat"

Review by: Fili-1 | Source: Trip Advisor
Small resort with few and luxurious rooms that all face the pool-manicured garden area. remarkably beautiful structure and attention to detail. Folks and always ready to give you the best advice on what to visit the beautiful Chiang Mai, attention should be friendly to Pong, owner of the hotel who greeted us in the best way in its structure. Council also highly recommend a massage at "The Home", a massage center agreement with the hotel which is a few kilometers away, went every day for three consecutive days. Ours was a perfect stay, very good.
