Villa Song Saigon: "Perfection"
"This hotel is wonderful. You may hesitate to stay somewhere a bit outside of the main HCMC hustle and bustle, but once you're here you won't regret the decision. I didn't care much for HCMC, so after a few hours down there, it was nice to escape across the river (like fleeing back to the CT suburbs after an afternoon in NYC). Breakfast is fabulous and served to you riverside - full menu of choices. There are pretty regular boat shuttles into HCMC but if you don't want to wait for one or miss one, a cab ride is like $7 USD (which, if you can afford to stay here...shouldn't really be an issue). Beds are comfortable. Turndown service included yummy pastry - cream puffs, madeleines. Because it's a small hotel, the pool is quiet and never crowded. They also exchange cash at spot! Would return. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Slow Villas and Spa: "Just perfect!"
"On our 3 weeks roundtrip through Bali and Lombok my girlfriend and me have stayed 3 nights at Slow Private Pool Villas and it was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. To shorten the story: The Slow was even better than expected! Our private villa was surrounded by a huge and nicely planted garden. The pool was just awesome - perfectly clean and bigger than expected. Furniture, tapware and decoration were beautiful and definitely chosen with a huge amount of passion for the details. The staff was always friendly and helpful - no matter if we wanted to go diving, book a snorkeling trip or had some other questions: there's nothing they can't help you with in order to have the perfect time at Gili Air. The breakfast is definitely another highlight. It's getting served at your Villa at your preferred time and tastes delicious! We can't wait to come back next year! But then for longer than 3 nights. :)"The Village House: "Love at first sight"
Hidden gem in Damai, it was my 2nd stay in this hotel. I like the environment and it was super cozy, A super awesome gateway. We spent our time chilled by the pool and it was so relaxing. The room was a bit dusty and cleanliness is average.Villa Mathis: "Chris and the Staff is the reason to stay here"
"We stayed over new years, my wife, our two young kids, and myself. The villa was very nice and clean. The pool and grounds were great. Food is nice. But the main reason this trip out of many to Bali was great, was because of Chris and his staff. They went so far and beyond what is normal. We had so much going on at the time, and we asked and leveraged Chris for so much more than we normally do. He was great, patient and very accommodating. We can't say enough nice things about him and his team. Thanks guys!!!"Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Wonderful food, setting & service"
Don't know why this is not No. 1 restaurant in Siem Reap. Have been 3 times in last 5 months and tried many other upmarket restaurants, this is by far the best. Flavours of Cambodian food explode in your mouth in a wonderful tasting presentation by the French chef. Other Cambodian restaurants try and some are very good but this is miles ahead of all others. Can't wait to go back.Sea Dance Resort: "Friendly paradise"
"We' ve been there for couple days. Bungalow, breakfast, pool, beach and staff-everything was perfect. We never had such a familiar feeling with the staff. They were so friendly and interested in our belongings. Exceptional was Dani from the front desk. Thank you seadance for the perfect time! Christian and Maike"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Historical beauty"
What a special and unique place to stay. Amazing high ceilings and fabulous architecture. VERY hot water in the shower and the nicest linen I’ve slept on in a long time. Breakfast was delicious. Didn’t eat other meals in the hotel but the menu looked great. The pool is in a sweet back garden which we had all to ourselves. No good for exercise but perfect for dipping, splashing and cooling off. Well located for a wonder to Love Lane and a gentle walk home after too much hawker food. I love this place. Staff were friendly and helpful but their English (although infinitely better than my Malay) not great.Muang La Lodge: "formidable"
Great room overlooking the river. Magnificent bathroom. Raphael and Mathilde are enough for their guests. high-end kitchen, we feasted. The activities are very interesting, beautiful walks in the forest, great track for minority ethnic groups and the descent of the river Nam Ouh is superb. Dream stay at this property which employs people from surrounding villages.Nimmu House: "Best beginning to our trip"
"We visited Leh in July 2017 and stayed at Nimmu house only for the 1st night of the trip. We regretted that decision immediately as we reached Nimmu and would have LOVED to stay longer but it was not possible. Nonetheless, our short stay was wonderful. We stayed at one of the tents in the garden - the rooms and restrooms were done up very tastefully, extremely spacious, beds were comfortable, there was hot water running all day, rooms (or tents rather) were clean and tidy. The food at this property was YUM! starting with the fresh Apricot juice to the lunch and dinner, we did not have a single reason to complain about the food. However the best were the desserts - we had a chocolate pie which was out of the world. we were a group of 11 people and i don't think anyone would disagree that it was one of the best desserts we had ever eaten! As it was our first day we keeping it low - loitering in the property, chilling in the garden, sleeping on the hammocks, attended the complimentary pranayam session by Indrani - which was lovely. (She did conduct a yoga session for a couple of my friends but i gave that a miss). The staff overall are extremely friendly. Special mention to Samarth and his wife (they run the place). Overall, id recommend this place. If you want to visit the Leh town on a daily basis during your trip it MAY get tiresome as its some 30 km (or 18.6 miles) one way however id definitely recommend spending a couple of days at this property irrespective. You will not be disappointed. P.S: Samarth if you're reading, am looking forward to coming back!"Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional!"
The team at Inle Heritage made my arrival in Myanmar so smooth and welcoming. The team patiently and wonderfully indulged me with all my cultural questions that I bombarded them with. Transfers were super easy and the tour of the lake was nicely curated. I am notoriously picky and there are two hotels that I have been mentioning in the same breath since my return; The Puli in Shanghai and Inle Heritage. Service was exceptional, very detailed and thoughtful. The icing on the cake is that the 6 bungalows and traditional Inthar restaurant are funding the cat + fish breeding, eco farming practices, and scholarships for 40 driven hospitality students each year. Like others have said this is not luxury and there are a little few missteps now and then from the students but it doesn't matter as it is all so personal, detailed and welcoming. From the moment of my booking Ms. Thant Zin Aye, the GM, was helpful and generous over email and in person when I arrived. Ms. Nang Khin May and Ms. Chaw Su Thet Htar were so sweet welcoming. Mr. Htun A Tint is a natural in this hospitality game and will go far! I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I would be there in a heartbeat on my next trip to Myanmar.
