Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Stunning"

Review by: KentApple | Source: Trip Advisor
What a joy it was to arrive at this serene, beautiful place. The staff looked after us to ensure our stay was as wonderful as it could be, nothing was too much trouble. The views are spectacular, it is just perfect in every way and i do so hope to return one day.

Misool Eco Resort: "Wow"

Review by: d0ubleB123 | Source: Trip Advisor
This place was amazing. It's truly hard to describe the beauty of this place, and what they went through to make it available to the (discerning) masses. Everything was perfect, from the check-in, to the food, to the rooms, to the scuba-diving / snorkeling. I couldn't dive due to a lung issue, but trust me, I saw and experienced just as much. Even got to see some manta rays at the top of an underwater mountain. Calvin, who headed up the diving / snorkeling trips / PADI courses, and has a marine biology degree... very helpful and great instructor, with the added benefit that he's an actual scientist. Even gave a preso on his work with the manta rays. And I'd like to give a shout-out to my snorkeling guide (Nelson i.e. "Son") as well. He's a local, and used to live on a pearl farm... he dove down seemingly without effort 20-30 feet deep to search out cool things to see. I'm not even sure the guy needs scuba equipment. And the reefs in their 1000 km square "no take" zone were in amazing health (which is surprising given all the press about the decline of reefs in other parts of the world right now) - we saw tons of stuff. My favorites were the nudibranches - I saw about 5 or 6 kinds. We also saw a herd of "bumpheads" that apparently National Geographic was trying to get pics / videos of a few weeks before but couldn't find. The amount of biodiversity is truly astounding... the fish stocks and schools were absolutely amazing. Corals too. I also liked the "eco" theme of the resort - they really take it to heart. Our room had air conditioning, but it was only within the mosquito netting above our bed - I thought this was a clever and very energy efficient way to do it, because you really only want it at night when you're sleeping anyway. Also, they're trying to figure out how to do solar, just working through the details right now. One piece of advice: Just bring adequate cash to tip with (preferably IDR, but they can exchange USD or Australian $$ pretty easily) - and not because they expect tips (they don't) but you'll want to tip everyone when you're done, just because of how well they treat you.

Satri House: "Excellent, personalized service"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Beautiful resort – well suited for relaxation”"

Review by: Chan S | Source: Trip Advisor
"During our 1800km TukTuk challenge from Mumbai to Kanyakumari, we had a two night stay at the resort. On arrival at the hotel after a tiring rickshaw drive, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water as welcome drink. We were fortunate to have a rest day at the tranquil resort - far from the madding crowd. The accommodation/bungalows were clean and well furnished. The food was good and staff very friendly, courtious and eager to help. It has a clem beach and swimming in the sea was very enjoyable. It's the place to go to for a quiet, restful and relaxing holiday. We also had a 'thank you' card from the manager before we departed - you don't see this often. We would love to go there again for a longer stay. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"

REVERIE SIAM: "Quality hotel in Pai"

Review by: House M | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Beautiful hotel just outside the village of Pai. It felt like a true oasis in Northern Thailand. Every morning we were served the most amazing a la carte breakfast, delicious. There are two beautiful swimming pools where we relaxed the first day after the long scooter ride from Chiang Mai. Very low prices for food and cocktails, you would expect to pay a lot more in a 5 star hotel ike this. Only a short scooter ride to the village with many restaurants and bars. Here we discovered Northern Thailands, in our opinion most delicious dish: Khao Soi Gai. It can found in the main street where the night market is: two people are cooking on the street and they have a 'restaurant' behind them. They only prepair Pad Thai & Khao Soi Gai. Only 50B! Amazing. Please note that in the hotel only Western style food is served, no Thai food. If you want to relax a little also this is the perfect hotel to stay at in Pai. "

Sea Dance Resort: "Relaxation at its best!"

Review by: JRG R | Source: Trip Advisor
"I stayed at Sea Dance with my family at the beginning of October for 7 nights. What an amazing place! From airport transfer right through to the facilities - absolutely fantastic. Sea Dance is close enough to the center of Chaweng for those who need nightlife entertainment, but far enough away for those who just want to spend their days lazing around the pool with a fine glass of wine while listening to the waves crash ashore. Botique personal service. Almost ever staff member knew us on a first name basis. Even the owner who is actively involved with this beautiful resort. Free use of kayaks and life jackets. Weekly buffets and cocktail events. There is just so much to do at the resort without having to leave! We were fortunate enough to stay in a pool villa. Large rooms with a small plunge pool to cool off on those hot days. This is a place we will miss, but surely not forget! See you all again soon!"

David’s Kitchen: "The best restaurnt we’ve ever visited"

Review by: Vicky1708 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I love trying out the local fancy restaurants when on holiday, but fear we might have peaked at David's Kitchen! We still have 2 weeks of our Thailand adventure but doubt anything could better our amazing night this evening. The transport is lovely, private AC transport in a nice car. Extremely warm welcome from the very lovely staff. Lots of personal touches on the table, e.g. our names, an anniversary card - there is so much thought and detail given to each table! The lovely owner, David, is walking around all night chatting to the guests. He does this all 6 nights the restaurant is open, so must love his job!! He has really interesting stories to tell so definitely engage him in conversation :) The menu is amazing, we spent a good 20 minutes deciding what to eat as it all sounded so good! The cocktail menu is extensive and includes a fab mixture of classics and signatures, and are extremely well priced. The food was amazing too and very fast service, but we never felt rushed. Even though we were both so full we had to squeeze in dessert as we were enjoying the food so much! We asked David about his chef and were kindly invited into the kitchen to meet him! We've now got a great picture with David and all the team we'll never forget :) And the icing on the cake was being presented with a beautiful bunch of roses to celebrate our anniversary :) the evening, food and service was absolutely fantastic and perfect. It was one of the best nights of our lives and will certainly not be forgotten! Thank you to David, your lovely wife and chef, and all of the team for a perfect evening."

Locavore: "Absolute excellence"

Review by: Danya66 | Source: Trip Advisor
Locavore was recommended to us by friends. It is a wonderful food experience to have in Ubud. Expect many more courses than you think and everything you put in you mouth is superb. Presentation, particular the crockery is unique. Loved everything. It is a set menu - 5 or 7 courses for lunch. We chose 5 but you get many more. We were there for my husbands 60th birthday and they presented him with a cake in a coconut with candle at the end. Very special.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Was beyond anything I couldve hoped for"

Review by: Olivia C | Source: Trip Advisor
Of the many places I have stayed I have never come across such helpful, friendly staff who are always smiling. The owner has picked some great people to work here. The accomodation is amazing. The location is beyond amazing. While we stayed it was my partners 30th birthday and the team arranged a fantastic private dinner. They even baked a cake! They went above and beyond. The food is great, the cocktails are delicious and the excursions are awesome if you can bring yourself to leave the lodge. I cannot recommend this place enough, go!
