Rachamankha: "Best of the best"
"For this visit we wanted a longer stay so we made the booking for 6 nights. From the moment we stepped inside we knew it was the best decision This place has to be the best place to be pampered and feel totally indulged. The rooms are amazing, beds are fabulous and the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. The weather turned wet but that made a great excuse for staying in and enjoying the hotel. The restaurant does a terrific job and we loved the many meals we had there. Thank you to all the staff and we have booked already for our next visit."Villa Song: "You Have to Stay HERE!!"
"Apologies for the late review but I had to get around to writing a little something about this wonderful hotel. We stayed her in July for five nights. We arrived at about 9.45pm after a seven and a half hour flight feeling a bit 'blah' only to be told that the kitchen had remained open for us to order dinner. How cool was that? So our first night was spent by the river, looking over at Ho Chi Minh, thinking ' we make the right choice here'! Our entire stay was really faultless. Friendly staff, lovely food and fabulous pool staff made our first stop off in Vietnam a 100% success. We arranged our private tours to Chu Chi Tunnels and a day trip around the city through the hotel and they were super choices. I remember now, on this cold dark November evening in Dublin, how lucky we were to have visited the wonderful, lively, exciting city of Ho Chi Minh and if your lucky to plan a trip there, stay at the Villa Song, its absolutely perfect. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay so lovely,"MesaStila: "A truly beautiful experience"
"We very much enjoyed our 3-day stay at MesaStila. We booked the Borobudur package which was a good choice as it took us on a private trip with private expert guide to the temple. The hotel employed driver took a nice scenic route which added to the experience and despite rain we had a great half day. After this we enjoyed the 'Arabian Nights' package in the spa which was truly relaxing. We also joined the power walk which was a fairly leisurely walk through the local area and village. (...) I would like to express our specific gratefulness to host Lia who is a shining example of how to deliver an excellent customer experience. Every time Lia saw us she asked about our well being, our previous and planned experiences during our stay and she did a wonderful job educating us during the plantation tour. My wife and I travel a lot for both business and leisure but we do not think that we ever came across such a great host as Lia. All in all I definitely recommend this place, you will love it!"Tugu Bali: "Like a honey moon again!"
"This was our second time in Tugu and we were again mesmerized by the magic of the place and charm of the staff. With all the changes that is happening in Bali - we were here 4 years ago, Tugu is like a bubble of culture, peace and happiness. The rooms are simply palatial - don't remember seeing hotel rooms as large and majestic as these. They are decorated with astonishing pieces of Indonesian art and a bed so comfortable it was hard to leave the room. The menu of Indonesian food is simply amazing, a gourmet journey around Indonesia. If you feel like a western fare there are probably cheaper options in the area. I strongly recommend the spa and if you can, try Ms. Kadek, she is amazing! Above all the staff is what really makes the difference. It was great to see that many of them are still working there and they remembered my name after 4 years. Thank you Sri, Ari, Dewi, Wayan, Made Adi! They go the extra mile to make your stay the best one. It was like honey moon again."Slow Villas and Spa: "Hidden little secret"
"Slow is located on the eastern part of Gili Air - it s a small island, but this area is still quiet, with many coconuts and few construction. Each villa is a little private sanctuary, with a large garden, a nice pool, a terrace. charming decoration, quality linen... and the possibility if you like to have a chef to come and cook a BBQ just for you. Very friendly team, happy to share their favorite spots around the island. it's not right on the beach... but this is why also it's so quiet... and beach is 2mn walk! recommended: take a bike and go around the island by bike!"Locavore: "Delicious!!"
My wife and I had lunch at Locavore To Go and were blown away by how delicious everything was. Definitely recommend it.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Quintessential plantation experience through the ages"
"Nestled in a beautiful forested valley, surrounded by tea gardens and overlooking the river Rung Dung this is and idyllic location with views of Darjeeling, Sikkim and the Himalayas. Accommodation in large suites within tea plantation managers bungalow - all wonderfully decorated and furnished in mid 20th century style and with spectacular views. Meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner) are all included. A rotating menu of different cuisines (including traditional Raj period meals, Bengali, Nepalese, Bhutanese and international, etc. are served. All offering multiple course, veg and non-veg options and all cooked to perfection offering exquisite tastes - some of the best food I've tasted anywhere. Plenty to do too - the tours of the tea gardens and factory (including tasting if the various teas the estate produces) taken by the manager or one of his assistants - teaches even the most experienced tea connoisseur everything they could ever wish to know about the propagation of tea, it's harvesting and transformation (different techniques) to produce white teas, first/second flush, monsoon, autumn, oolong and green teas; as well as the history of tea growing and the estate. There's also a wonderful lodge/camp on the river (about a 2 hour walk from the main bungalow); trips to Ghum, Darjeeling and Kalimpong. The entry/exit roads are rough as you drop into the valley from the main road - and it's about 2 1/2 - 3 hours transfer from the nearest airport or station - but well worth it Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Tugu Malang: "prachtig hotel in koloniale stijl"
This place is clearly a cut above the other options in Pai. You have all the creature comforts of a boutique resort hotel with an excellent restaurant, all within a short walk or golf cart ride to the Pai night market and other draws. Enjoy this wonderful backpacker town while also coming home to a comfortable bed and peace and quiet!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional"
The team at Inle Heritage made my arrival in Myanmar so smooth and welcoming. The team patiently and wonderfully indulged me with all my cultural questions that I bombarded them with. Transfers were super easy and the tour of the lake was nicely curated. I am notoriously picky and there are two hotels that I have been mentioning in the same breath since my return; The Puli in Shanghai and Inle Heritage. Service was exceptional, very detailed and thoughtful. The icing on the cake is that the 6 bungalows and traditional Inthar restaurant are funding the cat + fish breeding, eco farming practices, and scholarships for 40 driven hospitality students each year. Like others have said this is not luxury and there are a little few missteps now and then from the students but it doesn't matter as it is all so personal, detailed and welcoming. From the moment of my booking Ms. Thant Zin Aye, the GM, was helpful and generous over email and in person when I arrived. Ms. Nang Khin May and Ms. Chaw Su Thet Htar were so sweet welcoming. Mr. Htun A Tint is a natural in this hospitality game and will go far! I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I would be there in a heartbeat on my next trip to Myanmar.
