Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful relaxing experience"

Review by: ElisabethDelhi | Source: Trip Advisor
The Sukoon houseboat is a super luxurious and comfortable houseboat. We had a wonderful time. The staf is super, very helpful and were really taking super good care of us. The breakfast on the sundeck was an absolute highlight. This houseboat is a bit away from the overcrowded part of the lake so you can really enjoy the beatiful view on the lake at sunset and sunrise!

Tugu Malang: "Wonderful stay in a slightly eccentric hotel"

Review by: ozone_warrior | Source: Trip Advisor
"What an experience!! This hotel was perfect, get the best room you can afford - it is so worth it. The hotel is an attraction in its own right, make sure you take the tour to see the VIP suites and function rooms., the bizarre collection of furniture and nick nacks courtesy of the owners. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and all of the trips we took originated from their suggestions and with their help. The piece de resistance is the full day tour to Mt Bromo with waterfall included, organised and accompanied by front desk staff (amazing). Malang itself is a wonderful indonesian city with first rate coffee shops, a great bird market and some lovely streets to walk down. PS(the free afternoon tea is a must)"

The River Resort: "Lovely in Every Way"

Review by: bmkutok | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent three nights at The River Resort. The resort is 1st. class in a very remote location built along side the Mekong River. The grounds of the property are mostly rice patties. When we were there, the rice plants were about one foot high and a lovely green. The other plants and trees are indigenous. Gardeners work daily keeping the property in pristine condition. Our room had a wall of windows looking out over the Mekong River as well as a patio.. The large room was broken into four sections: bedroom, dressing area, WC and shower. The shower was spacious and had a door that lead to an outdoor shower (Very Nice). The room was very nice and functional. The food service consisted of a large open area dining room with a thatched room for protection from the elements. There were no walls, and the space was cooled only by large ceiling fans. Lunch and dinner utilized the same Asian and Western cuisine menu. Breakfast consisted of a small buffet and hot food cooked-to-order in the kitchen. We enjoyed the cuisine very much. The service was ,friendly and professional. They did their best to accommodate any requests. There are numerous activities that can be scheduled at the resort. However, since we were on a private tour, our guide and activities were all arranged. The River Resort is truly exceptional, especially in Laos. It is a place to truly get away from it all and discover more about the people and places of this remote corner of the world"

David’s Kitchen: "Must try in Chiang Mai"

Review by: Jennifer J | Source: Trip Advisor
Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.

Bassac Mekong Delta Cruises by Secret Retreats: "Brilliant way to see Mekong River"

Review by: j0hnchandler124 | Source: Trip Advisor
We only had a limited time in Vietnam so decided that a trip on the Basic 111 would be a good idea, and we were not disappointed. The cabin was small but had a very comfortable bed. There was airl con, small bathroom with shower and toilet. There are lots of photos taken by other tourists. Our english speaking guide was Annie. Wonderful lady who was on hand to offer advice and explain about all we saw. Only three cabins were occupied, us, one Belgian couple and an Irish couple, which made for very pleasant company. we had a superb lunch followed by dinner in the evening. We couldn't finish the supper as we are used to only having one large meal a day. Up at dawn the next day, just in time to catch the sunrise over the river. Worth getting up that early. Breakfast had warm freshly baked bread along with eggs marmalade etc.We also had a visit to Annie's home village where she explained about life there. Later on we visited a floating market, again worth seeing as our guide explained that with improved roads and bridges it most probably won't exist in 4 or 5 years. The trip on the Bassac came to an end with a visit to a market on land. I wish I had taken pictures in the first bit, a covered fish market but I was too busy trying not to step on people or fish! Recommended.

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Perfection"

Review by: tailsaway2017 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was one of our favorite places that we stayed on our 3 week tour of Thailand. We loved the private beach; the layout of the rooms and the wonderful food and drinks. However, what absolutely made this hotel was the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating and took Thai hospitality to a whole another level. It rained the entire time we were on Koh Samui, flooding even, and we wouldn't have changed a thing because Sea Dance still made our trip perfect! Thank you to Poy, Tum, Chef Toy, David and the rest of our friends at Sea Dance! Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Inle Princess Resort: "Eine Institution"

Review by: Hubertus319759 | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Lost in Paradise"

Review by: Grace R | Source: Trip Advisor
This is not a hotel but Paradise. So beautiful with a nice garden. Room is very very big with simple decoration but very convenient. We love the scenery around the hotel, it is wonderful. Sitting at the middle of the nature, reading a good book and drinking a cocktail. It was the most relaxing moment in my life

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Luxury in the wild"

Review by: Judes21 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our 2 night stay with NRLS will be a treasured memory. The luxury tents were set amongst trees to ensure privacy and were well equipped with lots of little extras including a flush toilet and a hot shower, without taking away from the camping feel. The atmosphere was friendly and we quickly felt relaxed and at ease with the staff and other guests. The food and drinks were plentiful and served communally allowing for good round table conversations with other travellers and our guides. Most of the food was Sri Lankan which was tasty and beautifully presented which added to the cultural experience. One of the highlights of our stay was our guide Dhanu. From the moment we arrived we sensed the passion and drive he had for his job. He has great knowledge of Yala and the wildlife which he shared constantly during our 4 drives as well as giving great photography tips. We were lucky enough to have 2 leopard sightings one of which lasted for about 15 minutes with no other jeeps around. We also saw elephants, crocodiles and lots of birdlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at NRLS and would highly recommend this safari experience. Thank you all for a wonderful wildlife adventure."

Maison Polanka: "So good that spoiled me for the rest of my trip!"

Review by: Lune14 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I don't recall when or where I first read about Maison Polanka, but I was sure that whenever I would make the dream trip to Siem Reap this is where I would be staying. I requested my agent specifically to select this hotel, and it was well beyond my expectations. I remember reading one review here on TA in which the traveller mentioned that you could tell the quality of service from the cold towel a hotel will give you upon arrival. Well, let me just start by saying that not only that is true, but that here they would rush to me every single time I arrived with a refreshing towel and a glass of water! Nothing was too much for Cathy, Frances and team. Want to see the circus? (by all means yes, go to Phare!), we'll book you a good seat and the tuk tuk driver. Going to town? please have this phone and call us if you need any assistance. Restaurant, tour bookings? we'll do it for you. Resting by the pool after a day of sightseeing in the sorting sun and don't want the complimentary tea? at least have some of the delicious banana bread. The list goes on and on. Service makes this place and I wish I remembered all names to thank them all. Lastly, mr Vong, always smiling, the best tuk tuk driver in town! The hotel itself was pure understated elegance, a beautiful restored khmer houses. I stayed in 2 rooms during my stay: the orange, which though smallest was perfect for me. And the yellow, a bit bigger and with a beautiful bathroom. Both perfectly air conditioned, comfortable bed, restocked water bottle, and thankfully no TV. The surrounding gardens were beautiful, the pool was great, and the restaurant served great breakfasts (a different tropical fruit each day, great coffee), and also dinners (the best curry chicken of my trip). I was very happy here for 4 nights. I loved the Angkor area and would love to come back. I would not stay anywhere else but here."
