"This was easily the best meal we ate in Cambodia. It was absolutely brilliant. The food was incredible. It uses Cambodian flavours with modern techniques and presentation. Most importantly though, everything tasted divine. Great wine list and excellent recommendations from the chef. Cocktails were also great. Service was perfect, friendly and helpful. "The food and cocktails are excellent ! Totally worth the drive. First we start with the cocktail. They are tasty and pretty to the eyes. The tapas are creative and tasty. We love the Bravas, Black squid ""risotto"". Black squid ""risotto"" is made of finely cut squid instead of rice. It is yummy and it gives a different texture as compared to normal risotto. Bravas - Tempeh with sundried tomato gives a nice taste to the usually blend tempeh. Their garden setting is nice and should the weather permit, it will be nice to dine there. "We stayed in the Yellow Room for 3 nights in late January and left totally enchanted by the place. As others have said, it is an oasis of peace and calm set in a lush, well-tended tropical garden (with its resident pet rabbit and dog!). We didn't feel like hotel guests; more like special guests in a private home. Their attention to detail and many thoughtful courtesies are exemplary. In our view, Maison Polanka's greatest asset is it staff. Francis, Cathy, Sopharan, Nian etc. are so welcoming, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. "We look for a restaurant Close to our hotel and this was one of 6. It had excellent reviews and we wholly endorse that view. We were warmly greeted and looked after by friendly smiling staff. Who were keen to serve but not over attentive in doing so, just as we preferred. The choice of food was traditional/regional Vietnamese and was superb. Excellent appetisers and main courses This is a little gem and not that busy probably because it is accessed via a main office building reception. "We found this unique hotel to be in a good part of Bangkok. Close to the Skytrain that connects you to most of the city and to/from the Airport. Very helpfull staff and overall great service level. As this is a boutique hotel with very few rooms, you really feel you get special attention. Nice rooms, with beautiful decor and a nice bathroom. Our room also featured a pleasant balcony (free minibar and fresh fruit daily by the way! Good breakfast as well) We especially liked the roof top terrasse with the large swimmingpool and stunning views of the city. A+ experience and highly reccomendable for those seeking a luxury feeling at very resonable rates."
