Tsingpu Huangshan RetreatChina/Tsingpu+Huangshan+Retreat

Transportation was quite difficult in the past since Huizhou was surrounded by thousands of mountains. Yixian is entirely enclosed and "deeper in the mountains." With a small basin in the middle and high mountains around it, water transportation was the only way enter Yixian County. Artists have been influenced by the hazy summits of Huangshan, often known as the Yellow Mountain, for many years.

The Tsingpu Huangshan Retreat in Yixian County is situated in the center of this modest basin. In less than 15 minutes, you may drive from Xiuli to Hongcun, Xidi, Tachuan, Bishan, Nanping, and other locations. The 120-acre picturesque region follows the ancient style of Huizhou's ideal village, resting on mountains and facing the lake. It effectively combines residential areas, street markets, and water gardens to create the aesthetic vision of a natural interest. Every time you come to a level area when hiking in the southern Anhui mountains along the river valley, there will be many villages. A natural scene with white walls and tiled homes hidden by lush mountains and stunning lakes can be seen. Although they appear to be organic, they were not created at random. You'll notice that the settlements around here frequently share characteristics, such as having a flowing stream encircling them, being backed by lush mountains, and having vast, flat terrain in front of them.

The objective of "water as the spirit" of the historic villages in Huizhou is consistent with the construction of the 27 guest rooms along the water, connecting the ancient houses.

Starting price: 460 USD/night

“My goal, my view, is that alongside ordinary life, people should seek, find and enjoy opportunities to explore and find themselves, and to find inner peace. My goal at the Tsingpu Huangshan Retreat was to create a place, a site, for people to feel the beauty of poetry, to find their inner heart, and explore their artistic spirit. Xiangchou is a Chinese concept that refers to nostalgia for rural living and in this age of rapid technological development, it's becoming quite a movement, particularly in hospitality. These concepts come from a renowned poet, Xin Qiji. He composed a very famous poem, which goes “When I see the mountain, I can feel the beauty and the peace of the mountain. Meanwhile the mountain can feel my heart.”
