Tadoba Tiger Reserve is a one of the India’s leading tiger reserves and national parks. It is affably called the Land of the Tigers, due to its high tiger density—recent estimates indicate around 72 tigers (60 in core and 12 in buffer) over a rich jungle spread over 625 square kilometres! Visitors report frequent tiger and wild dog sightings and, in general, the park offers plenty of opportunities for close encounters of the wildlife kind which also include: Leopard, Sloth Bear, Gaur (Indian Bison), Rusty Spotted Cat, Ratel, Indian Mouse Deer, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Wild Pig, Four Horned Antelope, Flying Squirrel, and more. Over 200 species of birds include the crested serpent eagle, honey buzzard, paradise flycatcher, grey-headed fishing eagle, the shy jungle fowl, and much more. This journey offers you to explore the wildlife in this major National Park of India.

Day 1 : Nagpur Airport – Tadoba National Park (-/-/D)

Arrive at Nagpur Airport. After completing the formalities and collection of your baggage, proceed towards the arrival hall, your guide will welcome you and straight drive to Tadoba buffer zone to your lodge (around 3hrs drive). After check in and settle in your room, enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the lodge. Svasara is a conscious luxury jungle lodge situated 300 metres from Kolara Gate at Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve. The lodge features 10-acres of restored forest and 12 rooms. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 2 : Tadoba National Park (B/L/D)

Early morning departure by sunrise for a morning jeep safari with your English speaking naturalist. The legend says that the tribal God ‘Tadu’ died here many years ago while fighting a tiger. The tribals erected a shrine in his memory under a large tree on the shores of Lake Tadoba, giving birth to the name ‘Tadoba’ to the local jungle. While the Andhari River that meanders through the forest gives the reserve the Andhari name.
Back to the camp for breakfast, rest and lunch Mid-afternoon, second game drive to see more wildlife with your Naturalist. Back to the camp after sunset and dinner.

Day 3 : Tadoba National Park (B/L/D)

Early morning departure by sunrise for a morning jeep safari with your English speaking naturalist. Tadoba is less commercialized than many other leading parks in India and still has a pristine ecosystem. Major flora include: Bamboo, Teak, Ain, Bija, Dhauda, Haldu, Salai, Semal, and Tendu. Bamboo and Teak dominate the tropical dry deciduous flora of this land. The ‘ghost trees’ are very large and have completely white bark. Back to the camp for breakfast, rest. Free afternoon at leisure around the lodge. Lunch and dinner at the camp.

Day 4 : Tadoba National Park – Nagpur (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to Nagpur Airport for departure to your next destination.
